Hello Retired Teachers,
I am wondering if it is possible to ask for volunteers for Queens County Music Festival through the P.E.I.R.T.A. web site? We are desperate for board members at the moment and since we are ramping up for next years festival April 25 - May 6, 2011, we need help.
Information about each volunteer job during the festival is at the following link: Volunteer Job Descriptions. Board members meet in September, October, January, February, March and April to get things lined up. We are without a coordinator at the moment as Gertrude DeBoer (2010 coordinator) has resigned.
I have coordinated the festival for many years and can't take over completely this year. I am presently working my way through cancer and I really don't know how much energy I will have come January, hopefully I will be back to my normal self. Gertrude, Norma Mossey and myself have decided to split the coordinator position for now and hopefully through time be able to find someone new.

There are four festivals under Associated Festivals and I am sure any one of them could use some help, so from Kings to West Prince there is an opportunity for retired teachers to help.
